Microsoft 365 Business accounts provide an online service, with Microsoft 365 Business Standard and above providing you with full versions of their 'premium applications' (eg. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) that you can install on your Mac or PC.

Microsoft Business 365 Essentials provides access to web-based versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Email only accounts (Microsoft Exchange Online) can also use email software (eg. Microsoft Outlook or Mac Mail) or on their mobile devices.

File storage and access to applications (eg. Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is through a web browser and you'll be required to sign in to use these services.

Log in to Microsoft 365

Logging into Microsoft 365 can be done at either https://login.microsoftonline.com or https://www.office.com. You can also login directly to your email by going to https://outlook.office.com.

Your login username is your email address as provided when your account was set up. Your password will have also been provided when your account was initially created, however it's possible to update your own password to something more memorable if you wish.

Forgotten Passwords

If you've forgotten your password, select the Can't access your account option from the login screen and you can reset your password. Note, this will require you to have added a mobile number to which an SMS message can be sent.
